That is the quote my screen name draws on. It's from Macbeth. I like tragedies, there's something good and final about the protagonist dying in the end, no happily ever afters, and no cash-in sequels. Too many good stories are ruined by the hopelessly doomed protagonist being saved by a Deus Ex Machina moments before death.
And none of that was what I'd originally intended to write, but it was probably more interesting.
